Nice pics jd-baz thanks for sharing!! Would love a 7810 here but hopefully if we get a good summer this year maybe would chance one!!

Many thanks for sharing the photos Baz.

Quite a mix of drilling outfits there!

Not as many Rolland trailers around now, how do you find that one?

the rabe and lely outfit isnt mine nash,i put it together for a customer,i just made up liftarms and fittings for the conversion.
the other lely on the 6930 is mine.

no not too many rollands about now, died of death really,i pull that one for a local contractor at maize or the odd day at silage, lovely trailer to pull but it gave its share of bother.they had to make a new tailboard for it,an it got a new ram also.

Was over near roscommon on that job,was in good order, but was just coming out the gate and headn back near longford for another job,and the heavans opened,so home now again.yea i travel abit, up in to westmeath longford and roscommon

Fresh looking DL - early 90's?

Yea,early 90's is right,in original condition, ebay job about 4-5 years ago,got all the books and spares with it.
It replaced an amazone d8 box drill and it was a great drill, but the dl is very fast,i often be sowing up near 20k!!!

What the reasoning behind having the buck rake on the rear linkage rather than the front, when you have the option? If you don't mind me questioning your motives!!

The 7810 front linkage isnt piped for a spool valve, but only do a few jobs with the buckrake now,but you have a good point, wouldnt cost much to put the pipes out,but id need four doh, pushoff and hydraulic toplink.but then again i realy only do that 60 acre job and a few other jobs for other contractors when the loader might be sick or loader away.

Your asking the wrong fella there! We're still using a wheeled digger on the pit here but we have a buck rake for the tractor aswell but working over your shoulder isn't worth the cricks you get from it!
Just I often wondered about a f/l for just pushing it up and let the digger worry about tidying it. You'd need two double acting services alright and it'd want to be a fairly robust Hyd top link too I'd imagine!

the new machine
