A dull start in many areas with mist and fog patches. Overnight rain in Ulster will clear this morning and it will slowly brighten up across the country with some sunny spells, though coasts and hills in the East and South will stay misty. During the afternoon and evening showery rain will spread into the South and West with the risk of thunder. Mild with highest temperatures 13 to 16, and becoming breezy in the Southwest.
Tonight
Tonight will be mild with outbreaks of rain becoming more widespread. Mist and fog will affect the high ground and temperatures will fall no lower than around 6 to 9 degrees in a moderate to fresh Easterly breeze.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow will bring spells of rain, locally heavy with the risk of thunder. Mild and humid in a fresh to strong East to Southeast wind, easing in the Southwest.
Outlook
Rain will become confined to Ulster on Wednesday night and it will turn misty in many areas as the winds ease with some fog patches developing.
On Thursday, the rain in the Northeast will slowly clear. Elsewhere there will be a good deal of dry weather with some bright or sunny spells developing, though Western and Southwestern parts will have some showers. Mild, temperatures on Thursday will reach the mid-teens in the brighter areas with light winds.
Apart from some showers on Atlantic coasts, Thursday night will be dry with mist and fog patches forming and lowest temperatures of around 5 to 8 degrees.
