Today
Thursday will be largely dry apart from some scattered outbreaks of rain in the morning and afternoon in parts of the west and the north. Some mist patches will linger for a time this morning, and apart from a few bright spells it will be generally cloudy today. A fresher day with highs of 10 to 14 degrees, but southern coasts may reach 15 degrees, with the best of any sunshine. Winds will be moderate and from the northwest, with the cooler temperatures in the north and west.
Tonight
Dry overnight with some clear spells developing in parts of the north and east. It will stay cloudier and a little milder tonight in western and southern areas. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees with some grass frost likely in parts of Ulster and north Leinster. Some mist patches will form in the slack winds.
Tomorrow
The mainly dry and settled weather will continue on Friday, with some bright spells developing. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light variable winds.
Outlook
Friday night will remain dry with just a few spots of drizzle along western coasts. Quite cool with temperatures falling to between 1 and 4 degrees. In the light winds mist and fog patches will form as well as some grass frost.
A cool start to Saturday but it will be a largely dry day with perhaps some very light showers along parts of the west coast. Highs will range from 11 to 14 degrees, but eastern and southern coastal counties will feel cooler in the easterly breeze. Dry overnight with clear skies and temperatures falling to near zero degrees, with more mist and grass frost likely.
A dry, chilly start to Easter Sunday but later in the afternoon and in the evening outbreaks of rain will move into parts of Leinster. Elsewhere it will remain dry but will become cloudy. Highs of 11 to 15 degrees in moderate northerly winds. The rain will affect much of Leinster and east Ulster overnight. It will be much milder though with lows of 6 to 8 degrees.
Monday will have a mix of patchy rain and drizzle in southern coastal counties and also in parts of Ulster. Elsewhere in the country it will be drier with some bright spells. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.
