What was the outcome of that ?

LL not standing for long load in this case I assume??

Had two silage trailers and a tractor and a front weight on. Came in just over 60ft as far as I remember. Pulled over right outside the talbot hotel in Carlow ring road. He was saying that legally I would need an escort. He checked all tyres and brakes which were piped to the back trailer. Checked all lights and safety brake away and he said in fairness everything was in perfect order.

He told me not to bring it on the road again and he will let me away this time with a warning. He seemed ok to be honest and he said to me if you can drive an outfit forward you should be able reverse it. I just said “ok”. Then he said would you be able back this outfit around that roundabout. I just said to him sure you stop the traffic and I will give it a go sure. He just laughed and said go on and don’t let me see you again with two trailers and walked away.

Actually he makes a big fuss but almost never brings people to court .
In 2001 during the foot and mouth outbreak he pulled me with a load of spring lambs, I gave him the permit, he asked how he could be sure I only had the 39 on the permit in my trailer. With only a grunt at him I start to let down the tail board, he asks what I'm at, I say you want to count them you can crawl under the decks and count them. For some reason he told me to drive on.

During foot and mouth a local bobby noticed the same caravan passed him a couple of times that day.
He decided to follow.

Next thing you know a sheep popped her head round the curtain in the back window!

Is that the longer model shane and i see there now welding a beam across just behind where the arms connect on .

No standard 7ft, same as the last 1, would be in any depth tank so stayed the same never made any difference! Ya that’s the only real difference and that beam is in them with a few years now, my last was 03, plus the hydraulic motor to turn the spout, that’s the only difference

Great bit of kit them. We had one out for a day but we just don’t do enough wrapping to justify one at work. Pit silage be more our game. Most lads around here who do lots of wrapping have one or even two

We probably don’t either .. but our old 8 bale keltic needed a good bit of work and had enough done, well finished the Wilson seems strong :Thumbp2:
