Thanks for the info @fiatagri10090dt :Thumbp2:

I'm looking for recommendations on which chainsaw to buy for knocking and ringing large trees in or around 5-6 feet diameter.

Either the 880 mentioned or a huskqvarna 120 are the only choice really I think.
Hard got s/h too and be cautious if you do find one.if your trees are that big you want a 48" bar.
Cutting stuff that size is tough work

Yes the Chaps are €125, Gloves €50 & Helmet €50 if bought separately, great price for all 3.

Not sure where to post this, here or in the Special Offers On Tools thread in The Workshop section.

Anyway this might be of interest to some, I'm considering it, anyone got similar ?

HUSQVARNA PROTECTIVE KIT €139.00 reduced from €157 & free postage for the non locals

I picked up a pair of Husqvarna safety boots today https://www.atkins.ie/garden-machinery/safety/safety-boots/husqvarna-safety-boots.html Not cheap but they should last me a lifetime.

Also a pair of safety goggles https://www.atkins.ie/garden-machinery/safety/face-protection/husqvarna-protective-goggles.html
I'm sick of sawdust in the eyes !

I have a pair of those and never wear them. They are the most uncomfortable boot. For chainsaw work, I prefer something that my feet can breath in.

I hope that there won't be repercussions from canceling the cheque before they were cashed.

Rogue traders is a mild description,:censored:
That would be the worry, she was a cute enough old girl to go and stop the cheques but maybe on the advice of someone she confided in.
