When the rods that carry the pickup hitch get worn or dry of grease, they can jam when you drop the lift with no weight on it, i wonder was that what happend yours?

I'd try seals first and then the cross shaft.
Were all the 10 series ones greasable

I’ve never seen the lift not to drop, it’s the seals on the rams gone hard that cause the arms not to drop and by god the cross shaft was worn on the 6810 a few years back

I think it's outrageous but I used to drive an identical spec 155 just with autopowr and wanted to know what they cost

7k extra for autopowr doesn't seem outrageous but 120 for a 175R autoquad seems a lot. Is that plus vat? A 7720 dyna 6 should be less..... But then again tractors are just rediculous money now.

Is there much savingt tobe made on buying a low houred 1 to 2 year old tractor? The likes of Parris tractors for example often have near new ones with around 1k hrs.

I replaced the cross shaft and arms in my 6900 a few years ago. We drilled and tapped them and put grease nipples in.

I was going to do it but I was thinking the grease as only going to be on one place anyway

Both my 6600 have grease nipples bought one of them new it had them so has the 6910

Brexit and uncertainty in the currency market seems to be having an affect on the price of new tractors and machines in the UK.
£50k sterling to change a 4000hr 6150r is lunacy.

I’d be buying another tractor and keeping what I have. I’d give 50k to buy a similar tractor 4 year old 4000hours. Put up 500 hours per year on each of them.
In 4 years time.
The two 8 year old tractors with 6000hrs on them will be worth much more than one four year old tractor with 4000hours on it.

Nice 6420, compared to some you'd see and with new tyres it looks reasonable priced to me.
