So a businessman has bought some land with entitlements near me .
Ive leased the land from him including the entitlements. He has enquired about getting the entitlements into his name last week and he has been told that entitlements can only be traded once per year so he can't lease them to me after he receives them . Can anyone throw anymore light on this?

I'm assuming you had it on a one year lease and that's why he knows now that he could get them back. Letters about leases went around during the week.

That would state that they revert back to the owner which I presume the department recognise as the person who sold the land.

I'd think your best bet is to ring the department yourself, this sounds complex but it has been done before.

I have seven ha spare and my adviser forwarded a bloke with five entitlements ,any idea what percentage of the split I could expect ?
