Poster Boys for flowery potatoes. If they put your picture on a bag of Golden Wonders I will get @dmaxman to release the pictures of you with the 1976 East German female ? Olympic shot put champion he took at Agritechnia.
Was Trump drinking with us that night? I think I might have been his inspiration for his latest covid remedy, i should be immune to it!

Lost half a day trying to figure out how the harvester was managing to pump diesel into the radiator header tank...contractor just plumbed the header tank overflow pipe directly into the diesel tank. Not something I’d do, but we’re running again.

Fendt dealer won’t do call outs at the weekend...seems John Deere dealer doesn’t either. Nothing to do with lockdown either.
You’d have to wonder why farmers/contractors support them.

There is now. It was going the other way, ie, diesel into the coolant so he just plumbed the rad overflow pipe into the diesel tank! Got 3hrs out of it before it went the opposite direction.
I’m no engine specialist so this might sound like a stupid question;
I thought that diesel and coolant systems should have absolutely nothing to do with each other??

Ditto.
Seems there’s some kind of diesel cooling/heating system in those Merc engines. The coolant is circulated around the injectors to keep the fuel at a constant temp. Somehow the system has developed a leak. The diesel was going into the coolant, but then went in the opposite direction...modern engines are becoming more and more complicated.

Best thing to do is park it up,it’s going cost big style if he carries on.

Well once the coolant got into the diesel system she stopped herself fairly lively.
Busy trying to get another contractor out of bed now because there’s quite a bit knocked and a fair bit to do yet. We were hoping to be finished on Wednesday but that looks unlikely now.

It isn’t going to be a 5 minute fix,that’s for sure.

Must be a fair acreage then?

Probably some stupid o ring that's caused that ball ache. Is there no way to block off the coolant?. Some smart arse german designers thought that was a great idea. No wonder they lost the war

They made the best Tanks but if they broke down they had to be brought back to a workshop. The Americans fought the war with about six engines. You could take parts out of a Jeep to fix a Tank as the engines were the same except the Tanks were radial .

Similar set up on deutz engines fitted in fendts,injector tip cooling,the seal failed on mine and I’ve no idea where the coolant went.
