Some piece of work
The amount of hours he put into it is something else.
Will you try making a little V8 yourself next winter, DP ?
The Landini whiled away this winter for you.
A fabulous piece of engineering.
Is there a slight miss in No 3 cylinder on the left bank ?
Tbh I'd love to sit down and make something like that but I'd never have the patience for it. I just wouldn't have the time either unfortunately.
Anyway I have plans to give the 168 a ground up resto,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sometime
Haven't you plenty of time on your hands , no cows to calve or milk.
The thing about the 168 is , if you did (sometime, never at the furthest), restore it, then you probably wouldn't like to use it afterwards. I occasionly
Y think about the Ford here, and for that reason , will leave it on the very long finger. Love that old girl, much the same as you and the Nasty a Ferguson.
Thats the trouble jf, I've no time at all these days from helping the brother with the cows as well as doing the foddering for him. The whole day is gone with cows and people do wonder why I hate them.
On the 168, I've spent a couple of years as it is rounding up genuine nos parts or perfect condition second hand genuine parts mainly off eBay. Few quids worth now I dare say. The canvas for the cab will be the only non genuine stuff used whenever I get to it. But to answer your question on the working it, I'll still work the lard out of it but just a bit more carefully. I don't believe in having something that doesn't earn it's keep.
