Cutting Husky Oats today . A few teething problems . A key came out of a pulley and I choked the straw chopper . It is yielding well . I am not sure of the bushel weight but I had to put in the Bean screens which is a good sign .

The sky cleared very well for you today , compared to here , and theres only 45 miles between us , maybe a shade less.

Its a scandal not to see a fine big swath of straw behind the combine , ready for a baler.

There was only about 3 good cutting hours today .. The straw got very dead from 7 on .

Managed to finish cutting this field and move to another one before the rain . For the next half hour I will be mostly eating free range pork chops .

Only one field of Oats left to cut . Bit of a stop start harvest. We are not drying the Oats . If we have to move it to another shed for long term storage we might do it through the dryer with burner off to polish it up a bit . Where is the fun in driving the Fendt when you can really drive the TW 15 .

I heard they were going cutting spring barley trials in Wexico alright, a major show of force from the lady in Backweston!!!

A 2003 Smyth trailer. It has one side that can be lifted off . It holds 15 tonnes of Paustian Barley . It could do with a touch up on the paint .

It's basically to allow you to draw fertilizer and seed with it.

There was a very similar one with silage sides too around here but don't think it was very successful.
