There's a wind here today that would cut you in two. No different to the last 2 weeks really :rolleyes2:

I've just checked the phone and it says 6 degrees, we've had warmer days in most of December!

Need rain here and a day of it wouldn't be enough, but I don't think we will get much here at all.
Will revisit this in June to see how wrong I am.

Got very little at home, a kick and your down to dry clay only a few mm down. It did however bring on the barley. Was hardly visible yesterday and can be seen now. Bit of mild temperatures and should drive it on. Giving a lot of rain tomorrow so will wait and see does it arrive

My rain gauge blew away yesterday so I don’t know what has fell but an inch so far at a guess, cows are out, doing very little damage as they are over a big area. Land will take this but I fear tonight and tomorrow’s rain could make a right balls of things

Went to have a look around neibouring tillage farms today :rolleyes2: lots of the barley that was planted a fortnight ago barely coming through and really struggling with this weather.. Some fields had some up other parts weren't not looking good from the road!

    Pretty dramatic picture.

Raining here since about 5am and still at it. No big heavy bursts but must be close to 15mm.

Barley is just up or peeping through now.... have one gap under water at the minute and a few puddles in two other places. It's not looking bad but I'd prefer if this had to come in four days time!!

I'm very very glad this evening I bought the ring roller earlier in t e year as I know well I'd have big problems already.

Raining steadily here since 7 o’clock tonight . Made the decision to bring back in all the cows and calves after seeing the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

I'm sorry I didn't do similar with a bunch here as well this evening.

Once I got to Arklow tonight, the roads are bone dry

F’ing hell, some water after falling here and it’s not finished yet......

@Blackwater boy my rain gauge blew over the other night too! It’ll be interesting to see what’s in it this evening.

Had to empty the gauge just now, 2” since yesterday morning and it’s going to rain for the day...... I’ll need the lifeboat to get home.

This rain won't be doing any favour to freshly sown ground, especially if there's a fall in the field prone to water run off!!

A nice little bit here, but not overly heavy all wanted here.
Seems to be the southwest is getting too much and northeast not enough.

When you have that hungry feeling don't let strong wind & rain spoil your appetite while you wait..

Windy as fcuk out here and has been all weekend. Have enough of it now. Nice sup of rain which given the high temps forecast for the weekend will make growth take off.
