Best of luck with it. What model and what specs did you go for. There a lovely looking machine. How does the new front axle suspension compare with the old one.

Well ware and best of luck with it DP. Lovely looking machine and in my experience id have to agree a far superior machine to a similar sized MF. Not a fan of the GIMA back end.

The Cork colour scheme should certainly help the residual value too - good choice.

Fine looking tractor @diesel power I hope you get many years trouble free work out of it.
The road where you have the two tractors side by side looks familiar :scratchhead: Is that going into a small village with a set of traffic lights?

Thanks lads, hopefully she'll go for a long time trouble free. Some of you asked what model. It's a T174 ST. Versu model or full PowerShift gearbox. @bagenal your correct in the location :Thumbp2:. A piccy of the armrest here

I pass that way a couple of times a week, is that your place on the right going in to the village?
I think I'll stick to the 885 going by the armrest on that, more or less all I can do with these modern tractors is tip a trailer :confused3::confused3::confused3:

I'm out near borris in ossory. I know the farm your on about alright. Fine place. I just met the lad from Kelly's who drove it up there. It's actually easy enough to operate once you have everything set up.

I would rate the suspension much the same on both. The steering lock on the new one is phenomenal. It can turn damn near as short as the blizzard.

It takes a lot. Enough to feed a small town for quiet some time in fact to pay for that. If I was at beef alone then I very much doubt I'd ever have a machine like that.

Good luck with it, we had valtras here previously, a good tractor, we had a 214 on demo in September 2015, all who drove it liked it, I wouldn't be afraid of one.
That tractor will see you out and I expect you'll live a long time.

Just an little update and something very refreshing dealing with machinery dealers. I got a call yesterday morning from the salesman asking how we were getting on and if there was anything I wanted to know. He's even calling out to run through things with me on the smart touch system. Makes a nice change from the usual fcukwits who do nothing.
