A few of my ones.
Ford 4600 Q cab has about 4000 hrs on it from new. Was an insurance write off in 1998 when we got it. I refreshed it for the second time in late 2016/early 2017.
Ford 4600 without a cab originally had a Fritzmeier cab. Picture of it here stuck. It wasn't really able for the pin harrow...
Ford 550 has been on the farm since 1992. Clock never worked, but it has done a lot of work. Was painted in 555 colours to make it look newer by an ESB contractor before we got it.
TS115 is here from new. 5500hrs. SLDP, no turbo.
Lovely tractors maidhc, had you any reason for taking the Fritzmeir cab off the 4600? It looks a nice tractor and the first place they tend to rot is on the mudguards and that one looks pretty good!
The cab was red rotten. Those mudguards were bought to fit on the q cab 4600 back in the late 90s. My father originally wanted to junk the q cab (it was strained after being overturned) and fit a Fritz, but sense prevailed.
I hate those fritzmeier cabs...
Two more. 1968 Ford 4000 and a Sanderson. Both waiting for attention...
Interior of 4600.
Any chance you might have the link to that. Neighbour of mine has a 7810 and might be interested.
Whats the Sanderson teleporter Maidhc? I presume it's Ford based too
That 4600 is a credit to you and your father, not a spot of rust on the cab
Sanderson has a 6610 engine, 550 transmission and back axle. The steering axle on this one is from a volvo bm, the original 550 one seems to have been changed at some point.
4600 mid refurb in 2017. The windscreen surround was challenging...
Lovely TS there @maidhc
Did the paint ever flake off the bonnet?
Of course it did! Got it redone a few years back by Harringtons in Cork. I resprayed the front wheels a few years ago too, but all 4 could nearly do with being blasted at this stage.
There is only one non-ford on the farm:
This is my current project. Christmas holidays is time to strip out the cab and spray it in NH chassis grey (easier got than the jcb version and it is very close)
Apparently those front axles on the Sanderson were a weak point I'm told so Maybe that's why it was changed on yours too.
Cheers Cormy appreciate that
Many hours on it ?
Lovely looking 6810, I know the AP cab is not everyone's fancy.
Lovely but 6700 hours my eye
Might be a bit more but not a huge amount more. The clutch pedal doesn't look that shiny to be fair.
6500. Genuine too as I have known the machine. Rust is an issue, but hopefully will get it mostly sorted this week while I'm off.
Good luck hope have it running like a clock as the say
Bit late now for
Check out the seat. Maybe new old stock ? Didn’t think they could be got any longer?
It is a beauty but what would you do with it, I wouldn't care to sit in it for a few hours work, tractor runs only.
First thing I spotted, Maybe it's the old one refurbished?
I don't know I've done three hours on the 3600 today so I'm not one to talk , Maybe he'd give me a good trade in
Another classic 4wd.
