I got my 3 to 3.5 acres on Tuesday night . Mowed it the previous Tuesday . I turned it 5 times , taking my time and breaking it out properly. I had 31 bales off it . Reseeded 10 odd years . Green ryegrass.
If baled dry and well saved they will be soundHow long would you need to leave out small squares after baling. Was baled dry on Tuesday and put into ricks of four but didn’t put the knots out and down. Was going to chance sticking them in the shed tomorrow evening as there a chance of a few raindrops on Saturday

Something I haven't seen in a long time until today is a field of hay cocked, up @diesel power 's neck of the woods

Unless he was using the Volvo , it would be more likely see a pig fly ..:rolleyes2:
There's a local man only over the road from me still makes a few cocks of hay. I saw a snapchat from @laoisfarmer yesterday with lads making cocks of hay. I'd say it was that you saw today.Something I haven't seen in a long time until today is a field of hay cocked, up @diesel power 's neck of the woods
A lad showed me how to "lap" a field today now that's a job u don't want to be doing.
I seen a lad turning hay today and he must have thought the hay was on fire behind him he was going that fast, he might as well have stayed in the house drinking tea :rolleyes2:
It’s no help to the straw maketGod, sounds like the country will be full of hay. Looks like it’s being made in all areas too.
If global warning gives us warmer summers and wetter winters, it might all be needed too.

Do you not trust the baler count......................The man that baled this said it was the first time he baled over a 1000 bales in the one field. I think I might be able to get drone footage so we can count the bales .
