jf 850' s pics

Did you have one of those cameras affixed to your cap, of the type Google use on the roof of cars, to take a snap every 2 seconds?
Looks like there was plenty to see, I might put it in the diary for next year. I wasn't at Moynalty since I was a small chap.

I had the baseball cap on , the camera taped to the peak with 3 rounds of silage tape....

Its a Samsung Galaxy. I left herself listening to Mike Denver , and went walkabout. Biggest problem with plenty of those pictures , was to get a clear shot of the object , such were the crowds around a lot of things.

Great pics JF, you must have got week at the knees at the sight of them Crystals .
:rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:
Thanks , mixed fleet. The 3 Crystals there were nicely done. I also managed to buy myself a pair of mugs , one with an 8011 , the other with a modern Forterra.
I thought I had taken a picture of a purple Ursus C385 , same as I sold @ZetorMan98 , but I seem to have missed it.

Was there a few Crystals and an Ursus side by side? I think I recognise the 8011 and red grill guard beside the Ursus from a video of them at single chop silage

Yes you are right. The Ursus was at the left hand side of the Zetor. The side of it can be seen in the 2nd photo from the top , in the last set.

i,ve been looking at the faces in the crowd and there is a lad there at the BSA motor bikes and its like christmas morning to him all over again :woot:, how long before chrome bumpers come back into fashion? they really make those old cars look fab

When The Donald starts dropping his bombs and everything with a microchip gets fried then those yokes are the only things that will start and drive. I have a new seat ordered for the 3000 and am contemplating filling up a few IBC's with TVO for the 20's

You must have hired a couple of pornographers in to take all those pictures for you.

You'd better supercharge them to get you away from the marauding crowds.......

The Crystals would be the pick of the bunch for me. :Thumbp2:

They were nice , @Mike . As well as them , there was a Fordson Dexta with loader brackets , and a Ford Nan beside it. Definitely the Diesel Major , with its history , tools and
photo history. The John Deere and matching square baler. and finally a steam engine , Lorna Doone.

Hmm,@Peter . I don't know of any pornographers .:rolleyes2::oops2:. Myself and the phone are available for society wedding pictures. I enjoyed doing it.

@humungus, It funny you should say that, as my wife remarked at one stage , that my face lit up like a 3 year old after being let loose in Ken Blacks Toyshop.

@Tippcon , I remember my father going to great rounds to get the last TVO available locally , in 1974 ish, as it was going off the market then . He wanted it for a High Nelly Fordson E27N, whose belt pulley was used to drive a Bamford 4C corn crusher,

Ended up at the Kilkenny Model show in Cillin Hill Mart on Sunday last. As good an exhibition of stuff as I have seen. Some eye-catching remote control stuff. Some fabulous wooden models. Shandon Cathedral was quite something. Some lovely diaramas . A certain Wexford garage. Some Older Fiats for@humungus and @Agri Power .

I would usually go to that, never even knew it was on.

I liked the farmyard dioramas , the 390 and grab feeding silage is just like what can be seen in every parish in the country. The Fords square baling scene is nice.
Took the Ford Classic 315/ Capri outside DID electrical later that evening. A rare sight.

Some great detail in your last pic above, even the damaged tyre on the pit!

I really like the last one aswell, bales of silage stacked poorly, bale handler thrown on the trailer, dust covering the the model and was attracted to the damaged tyre on the pit aswell. Thats fabalous

These pictures are on a wall near the entrance from the outdoor car park of The Showgrounds Shopping Centre in Clonmel.
A few grand scenes from shows of the 60s.

You are after bringing back a few memories there, Barlo used be the Claas dealers, McCulloch chainsaws were sold by Boyds, I remember hearing the name King and Keating but not sure what they dealt in but the picture would suggest cars, in the pic of Suirway Massey Ferguson you can see Sherrard of Fethard peeping over the striped canopy, bought my first hedgecutter from them, a McConnel PA44 with flail and sawhead and a drain cleaning bucket as it could also be used as a digger, iirc it cost £4,500 incl vat, what make is the OIP reg car ?
