John Deere

Trouble is the ecu can start doing anything .
You might go to all the bother of bypassing the lights and she might not Start

That's a big help running basic things like lights and wipers through a ecu, that makes fault finding nearly impossible. what was the problem with switch, relay, light it seemed to work ok, it's all got too complicated.

Is there just the one Ecu in these or is there multiple ecu's?
As someone else said check the earths everywhere, especially the cab to frame earths, remove them clean them and refit then give a good coat of petroleum jelly on top to prevent corrosion.
Also get your alternator checked for output at all revs and the battery condition checked too especially now coming into colder weather, a small change in voltage output can do stupid things with electronics.

Thanks for all the replies lads. Going to look for a private mechanic first, know a lad who is an ex head mechanic from local JD dealer, so he is top of the list.

Won't have time myself now to go through so much, so get a lad who knows what's what might even be cheaper!

Why the heck do all these things need to go through the ECU! I mean honestly, you need a light you flick a switch! shouldn't need to go through a 'brain' to figure it out!!

Thats why i hate computers in tractors :sweatdrop::sweatdrop:
Once seen a local contractor got caught out by one of his Deeres on a wagon. Just went into idle mode and wouldnt do anything, right in the gateway of a field. The other wagon was stuck in the field then as well. They had to pull it back out of the way.
Fitter arrived out there was a sensor or something gone in the core of the brain. Had to be winched wagon full of grass as well onto a artic recovery vehicle.
He had even got to hire a second wagon as his had to go seventy or eighty miles away ( so i was told anyways) four days before he got his kit back as tyey had to do surgery and send brain to some "specialists"and wait tor the part to be imported as well. Now i know thats maybe ten years ago and machinery has got a lot more sophisticated since but just shows how something so simple can cause so much hassle so simply.:yes:

I see a good few pics of that first one there on google
Looks well with the 6610 solid wheels and the 20 series work lamps, never seen the lamps done before.
Very unusual manifold on it tooView attachment 33726
There's a heap of pictures of it on tractor fan.
Them lamps are nice on it.
And the rims are sweet.
If it'd the same one there's lamps I the mudguards too.
Knowing the Dutch that manifold has something to do with powder or noise

That one looks similar but id say its a different one, standard manifold, new type step and different linkage, but she still nice.
These pics are tempting me.....
