Cow had a cesarean here in the spring. Was done lying on her side as she would not cooperate standing. Vet had to make quite a big cut to get calf out and recomended she be sold. Best cow here just wondering what other peoples opinions were?

Hard one really. Has she been an easy calver in the past?
How old is she?

i,d keep her anyway, calf coming backways is just one of those things but getting her back in calf could be a problem although shes had a good rest

I'd keep her and see if she'll go back in calf. If not then you can say you gave her a chance and feed her up for the factory.

I have a cow that had a cesarean 3 years ago.At the time the vet said to get rid of her. I still have her and she is perfect, calfed twice since unassisted.

See how she gets on with her next pregnancy. I've had mixed results over the years with C-section cows of that age
Mixed results here too. The good ones never went back in calf. The ones I wasn't fussy on went back first time. Either way she won't let you down. If she doesn't go in calf you can factory her.
