Wondering what’s people’s opinions on the 6480 ? And is there much difference in the sisu vs Perkins 6480 thanks

the sisu ones are away ahead ,the last good perkins engines were in the 6270-90,perkins 6480s has cat fuel pumps and had a few issues with part availabilty, water pump and exhaust gasket are one of the few things to watch on the susu

Sisu Engines 6480's were bombproof if serviced and looked after. A good buy if a nice one can be sourced.

kinda always thought that the t2 64 series had the perkins and the t3 had the sisu or did the t2 and t3 have both perkins and sisu?

T2 all Perkins 04 - 07 T3 07 - 11 Perkins,
T3 11 - 13 sisu, sisu' engines look different to Perkins you wud know by looking at them. Also plated sisu Perkins plated Perkins, all black chassis are Perkins, the grey chassis came out in 10/11 so there's prob a cross over in engines. A low houred sisu engined 6480 will be pricey a 7618 won't cost a lot more.

Had a t3 Perkins engine 6480 in work . Great tractor . Cat fuel pump being there let down . As there is a chip / card in them that can’t be got if / when the pump needs to be rebuilt. So new pump has to be fitted . Sisu engine is longer then the Perkins engine .

Have had 2 dyna 6 6480's one 05 still have and had a 06. Both perkins both 40k 05 5k hours. The 06 had 7k hours both had loaders. Still rate as one of best masseys dyna 6 is bulletproof and serious comfortable.
As an all rounder could not rate high enough. Especially jobs like stacking bales will get round a tight yard handier than a 100hp tractor.
