Obtaining Prescription from Vets in Ireland

Has anyone ever got a prescription from their local vet so that they can purchase medicines online.
 
Yes. Our vet gives us a prescription if we want it. We have a relative working in an animal medicine manufacturing plant and they are able to get us some products at a reduced price, so a prescription is often needed for some products.
 
Got a prescription of my local vet to buy medicines from my co op think he charged a fiver the first time I asked him. Is that the same prescription?
