Plasma or oxy propane cutting?

I Know this has probably been covered before but id just like to ask a few questions.
I need a way to cut steel plate roughly between 6 and 15mm burn out holes etc.
I all ready have an account with boc for welding gas and i priced oxygen with them its 50 euro to fill the bottle. I have an empty bottle of propane allready so it would just be a matter of filling it. The torch hoses and flashback arrestors are about 250 quid.

The advantages to gas cutting
Cheap to get started
Able to heat things
Can cut very heavy plate
Dont need expensive consumables
No esb cost.

My other option is a plasma cutter
I have used a hypotherm 45 at work which is an awsome machine but at 2 grand is a bit beyond my budget at the minute.
What i can afford is an rtech 50 amp plasma.
What id like to know is would this compare to the hypotherm at all?
It has piolet arc and rtech claim a genuine clean cut of 19mm and severance of inch plate.
Which would seem to be all that i need.
Does anyone have an rtech plasma?
All advice much appreciated.

Never had a torch but just gone the plasma route here. Its excellent.

What sort of plama did you get?
What sort of steel can it cut?

Cant rem model no, but its the one on their site rated for 19mm steel. Apparently can sever an inch with experience. €700 delivered including vat.

Very happy indeed. jonny1 also got one before me.

Amazed by the power, cuts through steel like butter. Even hardened plough steel.

I'd find oxy propane tough going in 15mm if I wanted a cut that I could weld without extensive grinding back. A more experienced operator would get on better though.
