Has anybody been on site what are ground conditions like ie. flip flop runners or wellies ?

The work boots for me.

I was very worried when I saw Wexican jeep so had to go in and check it out.

Took 2 hours from thurles. Leaving at 10.

The ploughing is miles away from the show though, I haven't been in a few years but never seen it so far away before

According to google maps from where I am living in clonegal to the carpark it should take 17mins. It took me 18mins this morning. Left at 7:15 this morning and arrived at 7:33. There was traffic but just kept moving up the Wexford route trough ballon. Got to the gate at about 7:40 but we all had to wait till 8:00 till we were let buy tickets. Was hundreds of people waiting. Lucky enough I was near the front.

Some fierce hilly country around laois Carlow and seen some heater growing in one spot. An eye opener to see lads etching out a living

Blue route out was ridiculously easy, left at 5 and drove straight out, past the fighting cocks and was doing 120+ on the m9 in a few minutes.

Could have spent a lot longer at it but my auld lad had been back at the car since 4 trying to keep my nephew occupied

Went today, I'm going to go out there and say it was the most enjoyable ploughing I was at since I was a boy collecting my Britain's toy from the Ken Black stand at the end of the day. Left at 6, had a brief bit of traffic between the motorway and Balon road, I had an exhibitors pass so walked past the queue and was walking around at 7:45, went on my own this year so saw it all, talked to the people I needed to, got in the car at 17:40 Google maps said 1hr 26 mins home, I was home zero grazing at 19:05 :Thumbp2: and I got sunburnt which is a rare thing :oops2:

Due to a navigation error we ended up on the yellow route (should have been blue) Borris to Fenagh took an hour and a half, we came away thinking this might be the last time, not a lot of business being done talking to stand holders...
