Repairs and the like!

That's a great job. :Thumbp2: the cousin has a bucket that needs a similar job done on it. Where did you buy the length of cutting edge?

Kelly Machine Spares in Borris In Ossory would be near enough to you. He would have a fair selection of cutting edge .

I bought a smashing bucket in 2017 , that came off a traded in Manitou teleporter , for E400. It 7 ft 6. Tighe. It wouldn't have half done up the 50s old bucket . Got euro hooks put on it , and it fits both the 50 and the tractor.

Had this Tanco loader in today with a bit of a twist!

Hi Skimmer, How did you manage to get that twist out by 'cold working alone?
Yeah, there wasn't a bend in either loader arm, just that it had twisted very slightly around the cross tube. It is a thin enough wall tube welded to thin folded steel with no reinforcement so it is a weak enough spot on them if the load isn't fairly balanced between both arms.

We had been half looking for an Accord air drill to go on the back of our Rabe power harrow for a while, and the wet autumn of 2019 kinda hurried this quest along!! Unfortunately, we still didn't manage to get anything in the ground, but I thought I'd share a few pics of what we ended up with!
A big thank you to @ithastopay for looking at a few drills up around his direction for me, and to @jd-baz for supplying the drill and Kuhn tine harrow!
We had looked at a lot of drills and they were either too rough or way too expensive for what they are. @jd-baz had this one mounted on the back of a Kuhn CD300 that is in very good nick, particularly for the age. All the coulters are new too which is a big bonus.

First job after mounting the drill on our Rabe was to repair and reinforce 2 small little cracks on either side of the main frame. Luckily they were only small so it was only a very quick repair.

I had heard that mounting the marker arms on the power harrow was a much stronger job, so I made up 2 brackets to mount them just behind the packer roller tension springs.

Did a little bit of wiring too, replaced the original accord connectors with a well sealed enclosure, also replaced the 2 red switches for advancing the tramlining with these Telemecanique switches that are a lot more reliable, as it allows the marker arm to move around quite a bit, say if it started to bounce, before it will advance the tramline rhythm.

I also replaced the 2 bearings in the fan, and cut out and refitted the bush to the mounting brackets as the fan pulley was out of alignment.
I replaced the single groove v belt pulley with a double, and it's hard to believe how much the old one had worn, the V in the old pulley was completely worn away.
I replaced one of the UJ's on the metering shaft as it was getting a bit stiff.

Replaced every single seed hose, the old hoses had become quite brittle, and I am so glad I went to the bother as the old ones split easily when being removed.

As we already had a 2nd set of rear wheels and tyres for the TS115, I decided to get some bands rolled and made up a set of duals for her in case we had/have to plant right behind the plough! Might never even use them.

Part of the plan when buying the Accord/Kuhn combination was to make the Kuhn able to be front mounted so it could be used as a front press, but still be able to be used on the rear linkage if required
