did a bit of research on them a while back and if my memory serves me correctly they were restricted from factory, with top gear shut off. it was only a simple enough mechanical stopper blocking the selector which was removed on most if not all of them.
Smaller models were 40kph max. but larger ones were supposed to be hitting up to 65kph with top gear. I've no practical experience of them though.

We had a single beater jf but they were available in a "bigger" two beater model.

Used to work grand unless a small stone got under the floor chains and broke them.

They need to do something about their spares prices, last few bits I got were exactly half mc hales price when I got them delivered from UK merlo dealer, I wonder what Brexit will do to this, a lot of the time massey stuff works out cheaper ex uk for me too

One of the other men involved with him at the Ursus sseems to have stopped selling them. Both men seem to have SH imported NHs.

Problem with thos loader is the hydraulic pump. we have a lm435a and trying to get the boom to do anything takes a bit of time. once you start up you would have to put the foot down on the brake or move the steering wheel a few times to get the oil flowing. annoys the hell out of us. even tried replacing it a few times but nothing. i think what did it in was for those few days over the summer on the silage pit years ago before the neighbour got a jcb 416

All rear engine Manitou's seem to be like that, its a matter of getting the pressure up enough to make the spool valve work, steering and brakes are all connected into the supply to the joystick.

There’s a couple of new Steyr tractors in the yard,he would have sold a handful of new Deutz as well but mostly fresh imported NHs.
I haven’t seen any new Ursus in the yard recently.
