a friend of mine asked me to take 20 acres of new grass of him for bailing it was sowed in june and needs to be cut it was wel looked after and very clean.he wont say how much he wants for it and I only want to pay what its worth I don't want to be mean with him.im not stuck for it but wil take it anyhow.any idea what to offer him
 
Is there much weeds in it , or was it sprayed ?
If clean grass , offer him €8-£10 a bale. You pay for mowing .baling wrapping etc. That way you are paying for what is actually on the field.
If it's dirty , a fiver would be plenty . Only fit for dry cows.
 
Let him cut, bale and wrap it and you buy the bales off him. That way he's happy and you've probably actually bought the grass cheaper then buying it on the stem and paying for the machinery on top of that.

ya se we also do his silage for him we sprayed the grass for him its very clean
