I must be having a Fr Ted "small-far away" moment, Black beast nearest looks like the U to me, but almost impossible to judge cattle from a photo.
Hope died in profit, :Thumbp2:

Virtual Mars bar for you gone. The black was the U- alright.

I outwintered this bundle , there just on their first birthday. Since Christmas has been hard going .
In the last few weeks , I gave them hay and silage , about 6 bales of each. The got 2kg/head/day of nuts all through .
I declared the winter over:smile::smile: during the week and moved them on to a bit of grass.

What age are they gone?
All bought privately, so not exactly surely off the top of my head, but from memory, 4 smaller Chx all just either side of 12mths, 2 bigger Chx are similar to the 8 I had left so around 16mths and the 6 black and whites seemed to be around 14mths from a glance at the cards.

Those black whiteheads look like good growthy lads anyway so no fear of them with a good summers grass.

While its great to have even a few out to grass in the last week, we still have serious concerns about grass growth. We have 2 to 3 weeks of grass ahead of these few, and 3 weeks of silage left for the cattle in the sheds. If we don't see growth in the next 10 days we are in serious bother as are many more farmers across the country.
