The older masseys

14.9 x 28s or 12.4 x 32 as standard on the 3 I would know. I is now on 16.9 x 30s , and looks very well on them.
Our one is a bit of an odball it was on a spud place from new with 13.6 x 36 and 750 x 16 s, it looked like a dragster when I saw it first so I fitted 10 x 16 s to level it up . The other option was to fit longer axle parts from a 372 but at at £700 odd that idea was a non starter . Got a decent pair of 540 65 X 30s for it, but stole the rims and changed the centers to put the 16.9 X 30 s on the 65 :rolleyes2:

The T would nearly make up for the gearbox though, if comparing the two
Are them back tyres narrow looking though?

They look like 16.9s to me. I'd say it's the track width which is making them look like that.

I still think both are bonkers money though.

Description says it's a 690t!!! Presume mistake? I don't see a trailer brake. Did 690 have the adjustable steering column

I'm less than an hours drive from it all of next week, but I really don't want another project. By the time you'd get it home and sort out cab you'd be better off buying the one in Derry I think.

Aye sometime into 1985 the adjustable column came in the 1984 699 we had didin,t have it but the 690 which was 1985 model did it cant be more than 5 or 6 miles from here and I.m beat to think where it is

Yep and the typeface doesn't look right. I know I'm being fussy....

This one is much better value I think but the 18x6 'box wouldn't suit everyone.

:scratchhead::scratchhead: the correct decals would have helped.

I would think these two would be much better value plus they have more room in the cab

Yes tidy but even with a T it's way too dear for what's at least 30 years old? I'm thinking 6-6.5 max for one in that condition?

I think you may add another 500 to that limit if I'm being honest. I still think one is too dear though as the tyres look low enough too.
