Thorpes Pic's

Taken on the 3rd of May last, the latest grain I have seen going in around here. A lot of drainage work had been carried out on the fields in question prior to anything being planted there.
A huge word of thanks to Hurleys for their help on the day. It was very much appreciated.

I pass that way quiet a bit and have been watching the progress with months ,nice pics .

If I'm not mistaken I passed these fields last weekend and most of the plastic had blown off :scared:
Great pics

Cheers Grass Hopper.
I passed there today and it does'nt look that bad to be fair. One or two rows do seem to have a few tares alright.

Its been slow but steady progress up there, a large portion was done over the two weeks prior to it being drilled. I would think the drainage work done will be a big help to both fields.

I have the wrong place so,most had blown off where I had seen, looked as if it was a flaw with the plastic,it had ripped straight up the middle of most rows :sweatdrop::crying:

Just past there this evening, I would think you are not far out Grass Hopper. A fair few splits alright and not just in those fields. A few in a in a lot of fields around. Has to be a plastic issue.

There's been some very windy days lately. Hard to expect the plastic to hold up in that and allow the maize through at the same time.:undecided:

A few more from Hurleys, taken as they were just finishing off the last field. A huge word of thanks to them again. The light was fairly bad when I was taking the photographs but they came out better than expected.

The last one is of a local field after a grubbing session that I walked past the other evening

Classic machine that Fendt. Coupled up to some good German metal work - Lemken Rubin.

I have to admit it does look like a very fine machine alright. It stood out very well and lent itself perferctly for a good photo.
These ones were taken two weeks back. I missed out on the drilling though but it was still good to get them. I have a few pics of the MF, JD & Fendt in action that I will try to upload over the next few days.

A few from a local farming preparing to drill some maize. A few Fendts around here, more than I realised. A big word of thanks to all involved.

yer man on fastrac must like the taste of lime with that back window open

He was spreading fertilizer with the bredal on the fastrac so he wasnt too bad. I had been waiting for a while to get a decent shot of this one in action.

Some local maize drilling that had taken place a few weeks back. Only getting round to up loading them now. More to come over the next few days. No silage as of yet, although I have spotted a few mowers on the move.

she's bad lookin without the decals.

It doesnt look great to be honest, the shot I have of the other side are not great hince I didnt upload any but it does have decals and a front fender. Im not sure if it does hedges Smasher but I would think it might. I have seen one very similar cutting hedges locally but I can't be sure.

Fine drilling rig on the 70 series there.

It was pure by chance I spotted them drilling. I was heading into Cork City on another mission entirely and spotted them working. Serious operators. They had a Fastrac with the Chaser Bin for supplying seed to the drill and they were covering some ground even whilst I was there. 6 Meters in one pass does make a big difference. It was a pitty the light was crap and the photos and quick video I took did'nt come out the greatest.

Last of the crop planting operations I had left to up load. I got some grass reseeding plus my first pictures of this years silage lifting. I will try to get them uploaded as soon as I can.
