What are you up to in the workshop?

Got on with setting the harvester up for loading the proper side, you know, to gain extra D-value!
Had to fabricate a new set of 'holes' for the ram. As the old ones were welded on.
Mk1 turned into mk 2 when we realised the hole was in the wrong place! We had bought the old guides for the chute on the scrapper that we bought the extension off. Just the job!

I do think the extra supports I put on the extension were worth it after seeing how high it is now! Screenshot_20190718-180128_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20190718-180119_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20190718-180107_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20190718-180114_Gallery.jpg

Also did a bit of spending.
Spotted this on Facebook, just down the road too. Bit weathered but not beaten or bent.
It's a Record 633
There's a 634 at a local garage which I always liked the look of!
It should have pipe jaws in between the standard jaws.
They don't make em like this any more! Screenshot_20190718-172021_Gallery.jpg

Was about to say slide the seat forwards....!
Give Thomas Scott Seating a call. Very helpfull.

And my advice is buy a whole seat not just a base. I regret buying just a base for our JD!

Think i read on here before theres a refurb kit you can buy or is it best just replace ? Are air seats better than the mechanical ones ?

Yes and yes
Depends how much you use it I suppose. If your out all day every day then air is best.
But for a few days here and there it won't make much diferance.

We put a refurb kit in a mechanical Grammar seat years ago. Started squeeking again in no time. Trouble was everything else started to go too. But I was doing a lot of silage carting so seat was getting worked hard

Any recomendation on a replacment ? Woulnt be on much but atill a few hours a day give or take so Id like comfort and also not to be crippled when i get on in years:scratchhead:

A 10 meter roll of cable was included in that price, the camera is 23 ft from the monitor so had to order extra long cable.
The one I got on the tanker came with a 10m cable, needed a bit extra to get to the screen at the front of the cab so have an extra 10m just to got from the front to the back of the cab

There's a fair chance the rad is getting near the end of its useful life, depending on how much work you use the 3cx for you could go the easy route and pour in radweld type stuff or a bit more work and time take it out and get it reconditioned.

Took the radiator out to see if it could be repaired but the core was f.ecked, put a new one in from carlow radiators.

A bit of bodging today.
Aerial on the tractor had snapped off. Couldn't find one with the corect size thread so decided to improvise with some steel strap, stuck it to the cab so branches won't bugger it up again. (Tape just while the Sticks like Sh#t sets!)

Second was some wire to hold the gps cable out of the wsy of the door latch (reciever os on the bonet) also did a few twists to hold the plug bit when not in use! Screenshot_20190726-155437_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20190726-155423_Gallery.jpg

I tryed a 15 and it rounded off more . I have a set of extractors from draper but there only 18.5 up to 22.5 nothing small enough :-( . Iv tryed beat on different sockets no luck :-(
You should have used a 6 sided socket not a 12:Thumbp2:

Wanted to carry rainwater along a wall, dungstead at the other side and stuff is occasionally put over the wall with a loader so wanted something overkill.

Steel pipe, joined with the welder but a bit unwieldy moving from workshop to yard so hung it front and back and carried lengthwise.

Top of wall is hollow blocks so pipe clamps with long bolts and some cement in the blocks and it should be good to go.
