Boot lid lights?
On my mk4 someone had gotten the proper front fog lights for it (had Factory HID’s so no front fogs:scratchhead:) but they were wired with a relay off a switch down under the dash, the guy I bought it off had gotten the light switch with 2 fog positions but it was missing a connector in the back of the plug so I pulled a plug out of another scrap car and managed to split out one of the pins and slip it in to the connector in the car and join on the rest of the fog light loom then.
So I guess what I’m saying in a long winded way is the easiest may be to find a scrapper and pull the connector out of the back of it and use the pins from it. Even try to carefully cut the plastic away if needs be

Yup hes fitting GTD lights in a standard golf . And theres no wire for indicators in the boot lid so need to ad it . Whats best way splice into taillights ? Im not a fan of scotch locks

Might be worth checking the lights first as I’m not certain if they will work? Are the gtd led? I’d be afraid that they may cause errors with the bulb check system and won’t work as a result?
As for splicing, probably best to strip a bit and then solder in the new wire if you can

.

I ran wire to them and they worked fine he changed the standard tail lights to led too . Theres fuck all slack in the cable to get at it to solder it

You can get the repair wires with the pins on from vw for a few cents .it should just push in to the plug ,once the lock is open.
I probably have a spare here if you cant find them

Whoever did it was clearly trying to social distance themselves away from the car:lol::lol: or atleast it looks like they tried to weld it from 2m away

Any ways of seperating superglued plugs together
yes.
Solvent cleaner.
If seperating them is what you mean?

I got some super glue over Mrs AYF's glasses. Some solvent cleaner that came with our kitchen to clean the black filler you use on joints cleaned ot off.

All it says on the bottle is solvent cleaner....

Doing the bearings on the 4 rollers for rolling the table of the wrapper in and out . They’ve lasted well done 7 seasons. Also went at changing front wheel bearing on the rake tractor it was well gone .
Question as well lads . What’s the correct name for this part of a bearing puller . One here has a bend in it and threads are slight pulled in it . Presume I can pick one up on its own .

There's oil everywhere and dripping out the exhaust, only run 2 mins and it was dripping on the floor.

To be continued........................
A few hours on a slurry pump and watch the temperature gauge...
We used to pull a 4 furrow 12 inch conventional Kverneland plough with our 262 for over 20 years, it was never under huge pressure.

its a multi plug stuck in socket and some superglue is holding it i assume cause the wire was superglued into the hole. I need to separate the plug and the socket

I don't think that would cure it only kill it, it doesn't start that well nor sound like it should. It never sounded right from when it was done, the oil appears to be coming out of the back cylinder, going to take manifold off to be sure!

Hardly a valve stem seal missing or come loose? There’s a oil feed pipe bolted onto the rocker shaft with a restrictor in it, it’s the rocker shaft lubrication pipe, if this restrictor came adrift it’d dump a lot of oil onto one of the valves and cause symptoms like this.

Reading the manual it seems the later engines had a different restrictor/relief on the rocker, anyway the top end don't appear to be the problem. Run it without manifold and rocker cover to see what was happening, turns out no'1 was the worst and not no'4. After a few mins it did get a fair bit less so put it back together and give it a thrashing up a couple of steep hills, went for a kill or cure strategy!! Well it didn't die but did stop blowing oil out after burning off what was in the exhaust, so the hard work you and Nash suggested might be what's needed. Told him to have it back and work it a bit and see what happens, could go pulling it apart looking for a problem that don't exist!! Do have a intermittent 'tap' that comes and goes for no apparent reason though, don't know what that is.

X ray goggles needed, broken piston ring having been fitted badly, rings not spaced 120 degrees apart, 5th ring (second oil control ring) left out, wouldn’t mind a compression test to check cylinder pressure balance, there are shrouds on the valve tops-are these facing the right way? Did a professional rebuild the engine or a beginner by any chance?
