Iveco engine, built by Hesston as the name suggests, pre-decessor to the New Holland FX, same principle, precision chop drum feeding into a rotary blower unit. Good engines in them and do a good job if set up properly.

i thought prior to the fx there was the 19,22,23,2405 and prior to them was the 1900 and 2200 and proir to them was the 1880 and 1895:001_unsure:

In New Holland colours, yes, but before any merger, Fiatagri did their own thing, which was these, and it was the basic design of these that New Holland carried forward into the FXs insted of the cramped, difficult to work on design of their own.

down to the operator i think!.
most ive done in an hour was 56, no bother, all ya need is loads of grass in front of you.

the welger is a fast baler, believe me, i have one;)

Ones we had here if they went fast the pickup reel clutch slipped they were both brand new as it happend i had to finish that contractor for other reasons the next one had a newholland it went twice the speed and only required one baler but every 40th bale pus had only half the net on which is infuriating when wrapping

ive baled 10' rows at 17kmh, hit 33kmh in a flat field baling hay once, for the craic of it.

if the operator dosent know his machine its not much use to him imo.

ill stand by my word, and say, there isnt anything out there to beat a 235-245 profi welger.
there is no other straight baler on the market at the mo that will touch it for bale density.
other users will agree im sure.

dont know why the reel was slipping as id normally bale 30' of grass and with no bother apart from the odd clog that would be my own fault, but the flex door sorts that out quickly.

dont get me wrong here, its not a case of because its mine its the best.
im not at that.
id be as quick to say it was a crap machine too if it was.

At least now you know who took the quad!

Boss man too lazy to walk:laugh::laugh:

If that was my dad he would be edging to be on a tractor!

Lucky young lad there. I only started off on a Ford 3600 and to think of it I am still driving it today:laugh::laugh::laugh:
