It must be a big ballpark.....
Did I pay over the odds?
Same market. Shouldn't be a mile out.

Spoke earlier to an Irish dairy farmer that grows a little wheat and he's being quoted €22/l. He's also in France.Epoxiconazole 125g/l (strand) €29.10+vat after discount.

Someone in the supply chain looks to be gouging...
@CORKNow I'm sure there's plenty buying it cheaper than me but not as cheap as you I'd say!
Always heard that there was good margin in chemical but this seems excessive. As far as I know once the A.I is the same g/l we can paralell import or is there more to it does anyone know?

We can Parnell import from the UK mainly as their MAPP number/registration will do as adequate information for our PCS. I'm not sure but I think a lot of our chemicals come through the UK market as the big players have their HQ over their so sterling is a factor or so I was told.
What generic brands of expoxi and Amistar do ye have in France?
As far the dairy lad charged 221 for 5 litres of generic opus-he may aswell have given the lad collecting the cheque his underpants aswell....
Epoxiconazole 125g/l (strand) €29.10+vat after discount.
Azoxystrobin 250g/l (globaztar) €27.55+vat after discount.
I hope I've made a serious f#$k up with my maths!
Are you sure that's plus Vat, I bought Epoxiconazole at €23/l + vat (115 per 5l) & Azoxystrobin at €23.60 + vat (118 per 5l) from one of the same merchants that you deal with
Know who you mean and I don't just have those figures with me. Would have bought the same chemicals from both so will check it out.
Figures I quoted are from your neighbours. I'm surprised there's such a difference tbh especially on generics as have cross checked them before and there definitely wasn't as much in it but always a bit at the same time.
Well that's from the nearest merchant to me & that was settling up price, on account price was quite a bit higher
There seems to be a significant rise in prices this year?
Is it just us or are others seeing this?
We are noticing similar, not across the board, but some products, CMPP (Duplosan) is the one I was surprised by.Not a big buyer of spray but have noticed that D50 (mcpa) is gone from €50 per 10 litre to €60 per 10 litres from last year to this in the same coop
I believe it is, but most generics are now changing over away from the tallow amineIs the tallow amine formulation glypho going off the market, by that I mean is it going to lose its registration and we will have to revert to non TA stuff? I know I was told but I was dreaming about ploughs and subsoilers the same day.......
They can not be used pre harvest since mid August '16, I think and have to be used up on non harvested crops this year sometime????????????????????Time to stock up so.. I presume there is a use up period.
You can put it on all cereals but you need to keep the rate very low, around .25 of a litre per hectare. Seemingly there is new thinking out there that boron in very low levels for cereals is beneficial as historically no cereals got boron. You can also use it on beet if you have any of that.I have 10 litres of Bortrac left over from last year's osr. Can I spray it on anything to get rid of it? No osr here this year or in the foreseeable future!

Do you do it? Have you found a response to it? At what growth stage?1L/Ha of boron on cereals is fine
Yes have been last few yearsDo you do it? Have you found a response to it? At what growth stage?
How many grammes in total? Interesting.Yes have been last few years
Less blind grains and higher bushels
Flag leaf and head usually
All crops get boron
