Redstart

Just about finished up the redstart here. These were taken the 8th of March when we let off the wire to let them into the last bit. Seed heads were just barely starting to poke through so left them into the last block in one go in the hope that they’d clip the top off it before it got away. They’ve it mainly tidied up now and are grazing some of the re growth that’s appeared at the start of the field.67A1C7E2-57C4-42DF-BEDA-EB4CE7FF0570.jpeg 28F98500-1A6A-4A30-BED9-A2A641044AD2.jpeg
Probably not the very highest bit as it was near the edge but it was almost up level with the top of a pig tale stake by the end of itF60AE8FF-7611-4C0D-B469-D62BDE4242BD.jpeg

Over all happy enough with it, everything seems to have done quite well on it. It was probably a good enough year for it and the fact that the animals were in and out of the shed left it easier on ground because they’d be back at the gate once they had the fresh bit eaten rather than roaming around ploughing it. It certainly got us out of a hole as we were way short on silage this year but it’s scraped us through

No clue but the seeds are quiet big and the amount to be sown per acre is very small. Have only ever sown it using an Erth Agriseeder.

Any body know any settings for a rauch spinner for redstart seed ?
The rauch phone app or online settings page have settings for oil seed rape, I used the oil seed settings on the amazone both times we showed it and it was actually fairly spot on, nearly better than the Fertilizer settings were
