Stock Pictures

Doing my bit for the environment, no slurry ,very little silage (5 or 6 bales ) so far . Should manage without silage from here on.
Getting about 1.5kg/head/day of nuts.
Spring 20 born, dairy bred bullocks. Two lots, 9 in each on good old pasture ground.

Great way to do it if you can. Have 18 weanlings out on a cover crop on a bone dry hill here and it's a.lovely cheap option which generally gives healthy thriving stock

Looking better than if they were in ,
And no damage of any consequence.
Be very saleable type of stock in 6 weeks time .

Left out 8 tidying up grass. Felt sorry for them Sunday in the snow and took them a bale . They weren't bothered about it.

Probably the best way, from the animals point of view.
Some days ,you would question it, but not that many. Just have to get the stocking rate right to suit the place their on . A few too many and it's a mess.
