Ploughing tips and tricks

I’m relegated to photographer! The next generation getting to grips with the job now. Happy days.

Just about fit for ploughing. Can’t see it being sowed soon as rain fcast next Tuesday.

Removed loader brackets and you notice the loss of front ballast on headlands.

19 spanner is all you want
And stay well clear when it pops out.

Had a large stone jammed between disc and point some years ago. Hammered it out and the stone sprung against my shin.
Ploughed away but hurt like hell. Blood in the welly.
It dried up and went to the doctor the next day. He told me it went through to the bone.
It actually punched a hole in the denim jeans I was wearing. I still can’t believe it didn’t break my shin bone.

Typical farmer thing to do. Finishing the job before heading for gp

I did that with a large slab of concrete. Ended up with the front of the Landini in the air. Of course 11pm, vowed after that never to plough headlands in the night again...

Would that not be very hard on the tractor and plough. It doesn’t seem that gentle of a curve?

if the pubs were open this wouldn’t have happend

Got some of the ground turned over this afternoon, still wet enough, there’s a bit of a spring in the bottom corner just on the headland and I thought all was reasonably ok till I lifted the plough and went to back out, luckily some liberal use of the side brakes and loud pedal brought it round and drove out of it. It’ll be fun trying to dodge round it with the Harrow:confused::crying::no:D61EB700-94A4-4588-AFFC-8047B0D08935.jpeg

No problem get them, Mike Roche does them.
I have a stock of 3 hole disc stub axles and bearing if anyone wants them.
