Fast bales

Was thinking on a design for a bale trailer. So just a series of rollers, they are mounted to nylon rollers on each end which run in a cam track to either side, custom chain is used between each set of rollers making it one continuous chain that has suitable spacing between the rollers to cradle a round bale.
At the front and rear of the trailer the cam tracks are shaped in a way to reduce the height for loading and dropping off of the bales. A loading arm similar to an inline wrapper will be used for loading.
This setup will be mirrored on each side and work independently. The chassis will telescope outwards past the width of the tractor to allow bales to be loaded.

Does that make sense, what do you think?

So something along the lines of the chain setup on this that the bale just sits between the bars?

How plausible would it be to simply automate a Hiiab?
Could be used on a flatbed, which could then be used for anything.
And if the Hiiab was man enough, could stack bales too!?

Drive up to bale with a grab similar to a block grab.... press button and the Hiiab takes the bale up and drops it in plae.

Not the kind of thing you want to be experimenting with though.

Each and every machine on the market has had an experiment stage!

It's surely possible?
It could be loading the bale as you drive to the next, it returns to the ready position and just line up the bale.

Joystick controls or a remote in the cab would do either?
