Sheep and cattle love it, spraying it wouldn't be worth it, but if you must all dock sprays will kill it.Anyone know what spray kills sorrel. I’m told getting the ph level right but if not is there a spray for it?
Really. Didn’t know they liked it. Il see if the liming helps it first before I spray it. Thank you.Sheep and cattle love it, spraying it wouldn't be worth it, but if you must all dock sprays will kill it.
Meadow sweetMy father took on a bit of rough ground recently that hasn't been grazed in about 5 years for a variety of reasons. There is a marshy bit of a bottom in it and im wondering what weed this is, never seen it before with a flower like this, is it knotweed by any chance? Was thinking of mulching it but perhaps that will do more harm than good?
Is there a spray for it or should i cut it for him first?Meadow sweet
Easy to kill, regular cutting or grazing will kill it, most sprays will kill it as far as I know.Is there a spray for it or should i cut it for him first?
Yeah - I thought we are meant to be encouraging more Herbal leys for the environment, animal health etc.Love how there are people out there desperately trying to encourage some of the plants in this thread, then the folks who have them want them dead!😂
That’s Buckwheat.View attachment 112842
Any idea of what this weed is ? It’s in a field of phacelia / vetch cover crop and looks a bit like knot grass or bindweed. It’s all over the field but sparsely. TIA
I always thought cow parsley had a hollow stalk but this has a solid one and hard to break ,it took me a while to pull them this morning there was about 10 growing in an area in a field where the cows were goingLooks like cow parsley which is harmless and cattle like eating it. Hemlock looks quite similar but has a terrible stink off it and it very poisonous.
Have something similar growing on the banks of drains, seems to be getting more plentiful.Wondering what this is came across it this morning, difficult enough to pull out of the ground a bit of a sweet smell off it ,I've never seen it before View attachment 137058View attachment 137059View attachment 137060
