Silage 2021

Out of interest where did that trailer come from?

Less than a mile from me , not sure how long he had it . 6 or 7 years ?
Does it look familiar? There's a number on the front , I'll get it tomorrow

I’m wondering if it might have originated from south Tipp in the early 90’s

Does that ring any bells , @Tipp Man?

Ya they are drawing it in too, despite as I said any amount of tractors and trailers on that farm. The farm is pushing up themselves

Looks good. Is there ment to be someone up t.in the cherry picker out the back?
I park it with the basket in the air as it takes up far less room, also easier to get at the battery for the jump leads.🤣
You'd ate it yourself.

What's the story with the tyre sides ? Does someone go around on hire chopping them up ?
I presume someone gets paid for disposing of them then cuts them up,I only paid haulage for them, but now there about a £1 each.
It can't be done any better than that. A credit to you.
I’ve stopped using cling film this year and it’s turned out just as good, all credit should go to my Mrs as she’s laid out at least 75% of the tyres while I fetch them with the loadall,600 acres clamped is keeping her buff. 💪 😁

Hear that big pottinger rake that grassmen featured on their video last week or the week before has found a new home in wexford.

Took the chance and mowed the second cut silage of my own Tuesday evening. Mowed it out with the spreader vains and left it for all Wednesday. Went at it yesterday around 12 with the Tedder. Came back and raked it around 3 and then started baling it 5:30. Was a great breezy evening and dried nicely between each job. Averaged 5.9 bales to the ac.

Was sceptical enough at the start buying a Mchale rake but glad I did now, it’s been a great tool, it will bring 3 rows from the doubles too which is ideal this time of year
