Note to adjust brakes you need front wheels off ground and then you only need to lift one side at a time on the back. I was trying to keep all 4 off which was unnecessary

So got the cardan done wasn’t too bad in end but good tip for anybody doing it. When I was taking it out the dowels came with me in the bearing housing. Had I pulled them out of that housing would have being much easier to remove it around all the other obstacles. Much easier going back in.


I bled the brakes using a pressure supply pipe but despite manual saying to bleed it nothing came from the clutch bleed item 3. Should it. I would think it wouldn’t unless I was pressing clutch?

Need to press clutch...

Where were you a few hours ago!!!

I even asked a dealer who gave me a loan of the pipe how they do it and he said lift front or drop shaft which of course I should have done it before I reconnected shaft.

You could map her up to 145hp same as 7480.

I think theres a mechanical fuel pump in that one tho .I could be wrong too

New member to the high hour 7400 club. 2008 7495 with 9,500hrs. Bought up north, arrived yesterday and will be doing the vrting next Tuesday - will post after on my experience and the documentation process.

A fine machine, well may it wear. A stainless steel exhaust? they are the only job.

She’s had the brakes done (incl Cardon brake) as part of the pre sale service. How do I make sure the transmission is calibrated? Never been a 7400 on the farm before, so I’m a complete newbie on these!
