So where is everybody from and how is things?

Hi only been here a few days looks like most ppl are from Ireland on here? Its a boring dark wet depressing day here in scotland. In the middle of an extended holiday as I don't take holidays through the year. Starting to lose the will to live. I hope by being here to maybe build a bit of a network.

Hi @massey4517
I am from Carlow in the Southeast of Ireland, as a Tillage farmer I am in a similar position with down time, I keep 15-20 bullocks to keep me sane during the winter months, they pretty much mind themselves during the summer, set grazed and just given a handful of meal each day to keep them quiet and then I graze them on Kale for the winter so I have to feed them twice a day, I then sell them in early Feb to be free for the spring.
You may stick up a few pics of the sprayers and the crops you are in.

From Wexford se of Ireland. Mainly dairy autumn and spring and run a small amount of tillage also. Have a soft spot for 90 series fiats.

Hi welcome .I am from county cork . about as far south as you can go with the Atlantic ocean on one side . Dairy cows and a bit of tillage here .Massey tractors too..weather poor here as well today

Hi @massey4517 I am based in Cork South of the country. I work full time in a specialist engineering company in the city and run a tillage farm. Staff consist of myself and my 21yo son and my 16yo daughter just getting into her tractor driving career. Mine is a small operation, but have pretty much all my own gear to go from stubble to stubble, only exceptions are hedgecutting and liming.
I would do the basic spanner work myself and have got plenty of good advice from lads on here who are not afraid to carry out major heart surgery on an engine or machine.
Welcome along.

Beef farmer / part retired contractor from Tipperary in the south of Ireland, coming up on 8 years since I joined this forum and it has been a great source of information and entertainment in equal measure, what part of Scotland are you from @massey4517 as it's a fair stretch from the borders up to Orkney, there's a tractor in the yard here that started its life in Orkney in 2010.
