Cut 50 acres of silage on Monday for 4 different lads, rained heavy every day since, leaving marks with the tedder in spots, think this will be a job for the welger rather than the fusions

Ground conditions are getting worse, I’m dreading bringing any baler in now

Two 7500's and 2 chaser bins in 6.5 acre field, took longer to get all into field and hooked up than it did to cut it, at least I had 28 acres for them yesterday evening. All done here, no idea of yield yet but they said these were some of the better crops of barra they had cut, so happy enough

There must be some mileage on that machinery, South Tipp to Meath and Lord only knows where in between. Was there a cranky Scania driver waiting to be loaded from the chaser?

Didn't come across any cranky drivers, was only chatting properly to one yesterday while waiting for combines.
Those combines will have plenty of engine hours compared to drum hours, they do a fair speed on the road 43 or 44 km/hrs. They came from Delvin to here and were in Maynooth before that, were going between Slane and Ashbourne after, not too far.

I’d agree with that sort of light stuff raking will dry it up as much but in June/July with heavy 15/16 bale to the acre crops the only way to really get a nice wilt on it is to ted it out
Yes but when you try go go picking up that stuff then it's so lumpy that progress is severely slowed down stuff isn't properly chopped either

You were saying that before alright but I don’t find lumps a problem at all once it has been tedded by someone that is used to the tedder, in saying that a bad lad on the tedder will make it look like the rows were tedded at an angle with a haybob
