I had the same problem insuring the time machine. And charged handsomely for it.

It’s not mad if it makes it easier!!The weight is working fine, but it is a bastard of a job to plug in the pipes and lights. Would it be mad to set up extensions to the back of weight and plug into them? It would mean that the pipes would have to move a good bit while turning, but I think there should be enough play.
I think you are right, might try something like that. It’s not mad if it makes it easier!!
Could you put a short swing arm off the top link mount on it with a plate for the various coupling on it then so as you turn it can swing left or right? Maybe not needed but if the pipes or lights are getting it tight it would just help a bit, maybe even if it could only travel 45degrees to either side and possibly a soft bungee to hold it centred until the pull comes on it
Shouldn't need anything like that if you fit the weight with couplings in the centre will be swinging out to the sides as you turn but it's set back a fair way, easy enough to see put trailer on full lock and see where pipes reach to. If weight is staying on most of the time the definitely easier with it plugged in and couplers on it for the trailerI think you are right, might try something like that.
When you would be turning a corner, what clearance would there be between the lift arm and the drawbar of the trailer, there looks to be a good clearance or it the photo deceivingThe weight is working fine, but it is a bastard of a job to plug in the pipes and lights. Might not be needed at all but just a thought if it was a bit on the tight side!I think you are right, might try something like that.
There is good clearance, will get better pics tomorrow. When you would be turning a corner, what clearance would there be between the lift arm and the drawbar of the trailer, there looks to be a good clearance or it the photo deceiving
I was just wondering if anyone had done similar, it would save my first couple of design flaws. If you're looking for justification, it's a safety enhancement
I remember we when got a Q720 we got no book and to take it off u needed a 36mm spanner, anyway couple of years later the book and a 36mm spanner fell out of the cross member.I was going to ring about the book for the loader, I wonder did the guys fitting it even think about looking in there. I need a plastic cover plate now anyway.View attachment 102526View attachment 102527View attachment 102528
I would have said it was just me not knowing what, other than the brackets and bolts also in there.the book is in there since the first quickie black loader back in 1983
A plastic/composite hinge.View attachment 103242View attachment 103243
Yeah, both some sort of composite plastic. Is the top one similar?
Massey's problem, but very glad it didn't go, way easier to replace the hinge and gas strut.Luckily you still have a door.
