aberdeenshire tractor accident

crikey the tractor driver will be in the shit,you wonder how it could become detatched?it looks like a cracking new trailer.

a first look would suggest that a safety chain might have prevented this accident but the facts are unknown ,it was just within the 40mph limit so the car probably wasnt going that fast either
500 mtres back the road was a steepish hill with a school crossing which would have been in use at that time of day ,scary thoughts

looks a bit like that ,road was shut for a good while
I just hope the 2 are not too badly hurt

While working abroad I moved the stock trailer. Safety chain duly attached and off I set.

Turn into the yard and stock trailer started to go in an unexpected direction.

"odd" thinks I, "quite sure I attached the chain".

Gets out to inspect which school boy error I had commited to see the chain HAD been connected to to the draw bar, trouble was the whole draw bar had come a-drift of the pickup. :eek:
 
heard story on the local grapevine today that the drawbar pin broke ,
doesnt look very good for the young lad as he has been moved to Edinburgh ,
the driver is not very good either ,a tragedy for all concerned
