Any wet spots in this field?

Only yoke I hate to see sunk is the combine. You could do a lot of damage pulling one out. Has only happened a few times thankfully.

Well that’s a lot of damage, couldn’t have gone much worse.

and till you realised it may be time to pray for crop failure 🤣
I know a lad that could never believe his good fortune in such matters until he wanted to start a family and discovered he hadn't been lucky in his youth and that there were no oats in whatever it was he had been sowing

I had to go on a rescue mission the other day. A friend got stuck crossing a field with a bale of silage and got buried. Sadly it didn't go to plan and I got buried too. It took took the track machine to get us out and it wasn't an easy pull. In normal conditions a jeep would have no problem crossing this field so it shows how bad conditions are that a 120 hp tractor with four new tyres gets buried.

fair play to you for posting that, your not on your own, there's alot of ground still like that,
was a tractor or two enough to take it out or had you to go for the digger. had to bring the 6 ton myself a few times for the quad !!
Failed with 1 tractor but 2 got her going. We’ve never had to go for a track machine thanks be to God 😅

About 5yrs ago my landlord got a 13t digger beached on a really wet spot on the farm he was trying to drain. Our only choice was to hire in a 25ton digger off a local contractor who I knew well to dig it out. Not a fun day, but in fairness got the contractor to help drain out the whole lot while he was there, his digger was some yoke to move soil!
