Band Saw Blade Setup

I put a new blade on my band saw this evening. There is a lip on the wheel and I put the blade up tight to that. I cut a bit with it and when I looked the blade had moved away from the lip a bit. Should it stay tight to the lip or is it supposed to be away from it a bit. @JohnBoy @Skimmer would you have any idea?

It's a Biance band saw

No, the blade should find its own position on the wheels as far as I know.

I'm no expert but I think the lip is only an aid to getting the blade on

I’ve a very similar saw, usual for the band to be 3mm or so away from the lip,it never bothers me.

I did think it might find it's own position but wasn't sure, whoever had the saw before me, the blade came out more and there is a track cut out of the cover on the inside
