That will be perfect, nothing worse than reseeds with high plant counts
Why's that? That will be perfect, nothing worse than reseeds with high plant counts
yip, bigger rooting system with less plantsWhy's that?
Too much competition?
That's ok as long as it tillers before weeds take hold, others have mentioned it but regular tight grazing by light stock or sheep works wondersyip, bigger rooting system with less plants
Ya you could just scatter out some extra seed on the bare spots and roll it in should be ok. But you be surprised when growth hits they might not look that bareIm worried that the bare patches will allow weeds to grow, would I be able to put some seed over the barest places and just roll it in? Or would it need harrowed first?
Even put in a strip wire to keep them down there when conditions are good and back to the better grass if not good.I'd say it's just a soil type issue. (heavy clay soil)
As soon as conditions would allow I'd go with a bit of 10 10 20 or 18 6 12 and as the lads have said keep grazing it tight, with the lightest stock.
Don't cut it this year if you can.
