Case 885xl 4wd

Hi to all I have a case 885xl having numerous issues at the moment but my main issue is the mfd 4wd. As I understand it the 4wd should fail safe to permanently work, however mine is not working. I have tested the solenoid and it appears to work, the driveshafts splines appear to be ok, which leads me to think it could be a issue with the drop box. Is there a way to test this or inspect the workings. Any help greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has a good pdf of the wiring diagram I could use one. Cheers

I'm not a whole lot of help to you but mine wasn't getting any power at the solenoid but like you I had tested the solenoid and knew it was good. I had to run a new wire from the switch at the dash to it and it's working away now.
