case cvx's

Flying along on my cvx maxxum 130 and all electrics cut out I've no gearbox and I coast to a stop. The engine still starts and stops but nothing on the instrument display, gauges are frozen and don't move with the engine on or off. Had a main dealer out (JH Fitzpatrick) and we swopped out the ECU, made no difference!!! tried all the fuses still nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? Any Ideas?

I assume that before replacing the ecu that the power going to the controller was checked and tested. It sounds like a power supply or wiring problem if the ecu hasn’t cured the problem. Any idea what codes they are getting when they plug into the tractor?

Did they try the big fuse near the battery?

I checked all the fuses, there's three fuses at the front of the starter too. There's no codes coming up. Next things is up on a low loader and off to the main dealer.

Not sure how strong the knowledge is in the Case dealers on those. Resident @johndeere6920s is probably more knowledgeable than the dealers. There was an independent man near Moylough in Galway but I'm not sure is he still at them.

logic says you have lost power to the panel, id be trying all the connections and junctions you can find also wiggle the wiring loom while someone watches the gauges to see if anything flickers

even expose the key switch and check for power out from there

On the Maxxum CVX (could be just the newer generation one) there is apparently a bunch of electric bits near the cab step which you want to avoid blasting with the pressure washer.

On the older MX Magnums, they could get wet behind the A pillar and cause problems with the electrics there but that was back in the late 1990 early 2000s.

Sounds like a fuse like this, it's part of a loom connected to the battery box or in the general area. Screenshot_20250513_200400_Chrome.webp

The hand throttle, all the spools and the pto have stopped working on our 2006 TVT190
These are the current error codes
FMGR 252 and 253
EEM 121,052,015,056 and 017
ARU 020
AUX1 011
AUX2 011
AUX3 011
AUX4 011
ADIC 250
EDC 032,031,022 and 021
Does anybody know what might be wrong Or can tell me what all the error codes are thanks
Hey there,
i have kind of the same issue with my CVX 1170
FMGR 252 / 253

ECCU2 none shown, like can't read it

AUX 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 - FC 011

also Fuse F50 25A blows out sometimes

By startup it shows FMGR, ECCU, AUX.... in the dash.

I checked power and ground of the ECCU2 seems okay, all wiring about 0.7 Ohm, no short to + / - at the moment.

PCB no viewable burnout, checked the connectors and pin's

ECCU2 looks good, had it open also no burns, marks or water

AUX 1 - 4 disconnected nothing changes
checked the 120 Ohm connector Plug next to the spools, also fine
Wiring to AUX 1-4 checked, from connector X6/83 to X4/90 ..... 93, all wiring 0,6 Ohm

CAN between FMGR and ECCU2 checked the wiring 0.7 Ohm CH / CL no short
CAN BUS 60 Ohm

It "feels" like a damaged wire at some point. It's not always present. Anyone another idea to this? What do i miss at this point.

Dealer told me could be a wire, not a big help....

I have another TVT 170 with no issues, i already changed the ECCU, armrest CAN-Modul and the FMGR, but nothing changes.

SOLUTION

I was able to solve my problem. The wiring harness under the cabin, on the right-hand side, was ground / broken at the transition to the center console. There was a massive problem here in the corrugated pipe, open, broken, sanded, oxidized cables, there was probably also a short circuit here from time to time, in total I replaced about 20 cables, some of them as a precaution.
You have to expose the wiring harness for this, only then can you see the problem, this is caused by the sand and dust that falls into the corrugated pipe and cannot be seen from the outside.

Very unfortunate place, you had to remove the floor of the cabin and the firewall from the engine in part, then you can work quite well. The fuse diagram is also not quite correct, in my case there was a small 5A fuse for terminal 30 of the ECCU, as well as a relay. Cables to the EEM were also affected, which I also checked and repaired in the process.

All in all it cost about 60€, I'd rather not count the time...

Maybe it will help someone else with a similar problem.

Going off the wear on the controls you'd think the hours could be low, that is a very tempting tractor pity it wasn't a quick car trip away, it would fit in well here. Are any of the CVX experts near Robsons?

Its just the bit of wear on the edge of the seat which would make you want to have a look in other areas.

@Masseyrk662 they were all Sisu. The only real difference between red, white and blue was the colour of the seat, the cab top and the bonnet

Popping this here as it relates to an Austrian made Case/Steyr, Would anyone know how to float the hydraulics on a front loader with the attached joystick to allow the pipes to the grab be removed? Joystick has one button on top and 2 on the back

Straight forward will float, press and hold the button on the back of the multi controller and push the joystick away from you(to the right) and it will allow it to go into float

What's the best driving set up to round bale with a cvx?
Older cvx or puma cvx? Older one here, find a speed balers comfortable with, tap the plus button and leave it at it, knock it off cruise when the beeps start on baler and it’s stopped by time nets rolling normally
