Hello,

Wondering if any of you lads can help me out here,

Case 1056XL, 30km approx year 1990,

Chassis number reads something like 30836F 008955, from what I've seen I think this should be 30832 and the 008955 just doesn't make sense at all. In saying that I have a 956XL which on the V5 only has chassis number as 005707 which is also a 30Km and makes not 1 jot of sense either, confused or what???

http://www.ihace.de/01_schlepper/1056xl/1056xl.htm

Engine number 358D T2D155093

International 1455XL, 1983 I think,

http://www.ihace.de/01_schlepper/1455xl/1455xl.htm

Chassis number 01071000

Engine number 402TT2D003310

Who knows, help greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Eddie

the first numbers 30836 is the kind code that says its a 1056xl im not sure if its a 2 or 4 wd the letter f says its a french built tractor the serial no to me seems to be way later than 1990 going by what i have here 1991 serial no ended at 3288 it seems your 10 is an imported tractor as from may 88 all 56 series tractors sold new in gb were built in germany,if your 956xl is a german built tractor the kind should read like this do30736 d for a centre drive 4wd,and do30732 d for a 2wd tractor, the serial no for the 14 says its a 40k tractor.

Sorry I should have said, the 1056XL came from Holland via a German dealer but could possibly have originated from France, but, I thought all these machines were built in Neuss until it shut down in 1997 and everything transferred to Doncaster so if that's the Case (groooooooan) should they not all be D? It is a centre shafted 4WD.

I think the 1455 spent it's life in France. Do the numbers on it make sense?

Further development, i'm sitting looking at the chassis plate from the 956XL 4WD which I presume was a GB registered tractor but it says on the plate it was built in Neuss but to me this doesn't tie up with what Case say on the Neuss website, this is definitely a 89/90 30Km model, chassis number is D030 732D005707*

What do you think? Cheers, Eddie

i had another look this evening from what i have here it looks like your 1056 it says here its a new bonnet model is 86 serial no start at 8851-9158 thats for 86 prod year you could check the rear hubs for the year if they are original to the tractor the serial no plate should state where it was built if france it will be the st dizier plant, your 956 is 89 serial no start at 5065-6096 so its late 89,just thought the do030732 sequence seemed familiar my 956 4wd has the same sequence of numbers the info i have here says its a 2wd german built 956xl maybe the info i have is slightly off the mark,im not sure about the 14 if its not a 40k madel it will be an 81 model as the the last 4 digits tie in with both model of 14s i cant get much info other than that. hope this helps
