Christmas traditions on your farm

We'd normally do a double feed on Christmas eve and just push it up on Christmas afternoon. And supper is usually the boiled ham.

When the kids were young, we'd be up around 4-4.30 to open the presents and usually get an hour or two on the couch before breakfast and then off to mass.

There's usually a live animal crib after mass and we bring up 2 lambs but no crib this year with the lockdown.

Usually we get the arguments out of the way before dinner around 1 as the lack of sleep starts kicking in. Push in the silage after dinner, fire out the ration and back in for a bit of trifle and a glass of wine and watch one of the Raiders of the Lost Ark movies or Smokie and the Bandit movies.

Last Christmas with Santy this year so we'll miss that next year but we'll enjoy it while it's here.

Bung in a good bit of silage Christmas eve so its a simple push a bit job until Stephens day, we go up to a neighbours house christmas around midday as it's his birthday once we have the turkey in the oven, probably get to eat by 4pm, in laws coming here this year that probably won't leave 'till late. 9 sitting down for dinner so the first will be finished eating by the time I'm finished carving.. ..
