Combines

Grain loss monitor on a Deutz starline have not worked since I bought it and if it doesn't cost me a fortune I'd like it working. Dials are integrated into the dash, so I assume it is a factory fit. Tube at the back has slight dents needle never moves. If you drop a bunch of keys on the plate at end of the walkers, the needle moves slightly. Cables look OK. Any advice welcome, or a contact who could service it.

Are there sensitivity setting adjusters on the control panel?

I have a similiar issue on the tx, when the paddles are plugged into a laptop and you tap them an electric impulse shows up, however when plugged into the monitor there isn’t a best off it, even got a second monitor off BB but no luck

Tomorrow is the day, put the new knife in this eve and put it going and bang bang bang, bent fingers I assume, have to go messing with them now in morning

Did you fit new fingers along with new blade sections? Was the blade free to slide when refitted? You may need to set the height of some of the fingers if they’re not all perfectly level.

No the fingers are all the ones that were on it, slid in free enough, the occasional bang to get it passed. I can see a couple of fingers are bent

Are the fingers actually bent or is the slide slightly higher or lower on a few of the finger pairs?

As in the gap in the fingers? :scratchhead: you can see some sections are touching the top and some touching the bottom of the gap in fingers

No, if you remove the blade, at the back of the fingers where the rear of the blade slides these may be up and down a bit. It can happen with poorly cast new fingers. Only cure is to remove them and pack above or below the bracket where necessary with tinfoil to level them out.

And like that the tx made her first outing, thanks everyone here that helped along the way. I only joined this forum to get info on this combine
